I’m with you brother. I just wish lr offered a dual battery setup from factory. People would pay a premium for that. As for the stop start. Their newer products have an always off mode in the software you can select.
Even if they inhibited the stop start when in “sport” mode that would have...
Malubulr4, this is a good reference for compression testing and doing a cylinder drop down test/leak test.

According to Land Rover :-
“Always apply the EPB when the vehicle is parked.”
I use it more often than not. But if you never use it then the shoes won’t wear out ;)
It’s buttery smooth on the wife’s Velar as well, unlike the pulling your foot out of mud feeling I get with the disco.
after looking online I see that the velar has parking brake pads not shoes. so it could just be a function of design having to wind in and out the cable release which makes the...

But the good news is you managed to get everything working. So that’s a result.
Not to hijack the thread but..... look at what just pulled up at my local Home Depot. In person it looks much better than the images allow, the ditch water green is actually quite pleasant.
The Defender is at normal ride height by the looks of it, the same as my dirty Disco.
