Great info. How much tread was left on the duratracs at 35,000? I'm not sure on my ATMs exactly because I switch back and forth with Hakkapeliittas but I'd guess they have at least 55,000 to 60,000 with a lot of miles left. Very impressed by that. Seems BFG is either love them or hate them... -

The bars themselves are wider. Although I don't understand the comment because factory accessories would be made for the wide factory bar and yakima accessories would be made for the yakima bar. -

I ran 50 weight to try to quiet a timing chain tensioner rattle - it worked - with no ill effects. Until the temps fell below about 30 F. I think it was straight 50 weight. It was tough to get started when it was colder than 30 so I switched back to 5-30 in the winter. I would GUESS that the... -

I'm with you. I like the compos, but don't LOVE them. Plus I already had the extra wheels, so it was $200 vs $2000, a no brainer at that point. They have snow tires on them now, come spring I will have decide between BFG, Duratrac or ??? It's nice to have the problem of being able to choose! -

For those interested, I was hesitant about using the 1.25 spacers, mainly because I thought it would look strange but also that they would loosen or cause other problems. They have been on with the LR3 18" rims since the fall with no problems. And it actually looks as good as better as it does... -

The EPB was just south of $1000 by itself IIRC. (I got a used one for around $400) And there's a lot of labor involved so I could see $1500. I don't really get the brakes being scorched, unless they were dragging for a long time - which ought to have been obvious. Not sure how that works... -

JR Have you ever or would you consider making a 1 to 1.5" rod lift? Personally I think that would be perfect. An extra inch or so would look better on a daily basis with bigger tires (IMO). I think the 31.5" tires looks a little 'cramped' at regular height. And the IID tool could lift it...
