How many years did you get out of your OEM battery?
CMG Rover, how did you get your battery replaced under warranty? I thought that was considered like brakes, a user end item to replace. I'm not sure if my battery has been replaced, don't think so, but will keep an eye on it this Winter. -

2006 lr3 roar sound as you accelerate
I've noticed this occasionally as well. In my case it's clogging of the air filter and air intake, usually from sand or dust. Clean that out and you're good to go. So check your air intake as well as the other suggestions. -

Just got the 5 year/60k mile PremiumCare ESP from Zielger Ford. What they didn't mention is that there is a fee for the inspection. However, all done and in force. Nice peace of mind. -

Best cb antenna mount
Is there a whip antennae length that is ideal on the LR3? I know with our military vehicles we have a big bracket to mount them to and then have tie down clips in the back to keep them from taking out wires, etc. I've seen pics with antennae's mounted on the bumper, probably from a hard point... -

Nothing is impossible, just depends on the work and expense you're willing to go through. It's an interesting idea, but as noted, will require some prototyping. You could always do an initial mock-up in cardboard to get the size, shape, bends, anchor points, etc. -

It has finally happened!
I concur with the mothballs concept. When we close up our summer house we throw mothballs, and more effectively moth-flakes, around the house. That has gone a long way towards keeping the bastards out and keeping bugs down too. Try the moth-flakes scattered around to help drive them away... -

How big is the LR3 Offroad community?
I think the challenge is also places to go. In the Eastern US, especially up here in the New England area, there are a lot of places off- limits due to environmentalist action. I think there are some clubs and groups that run organized trail runs but I don't hear very much from them on this... -
