It would be important to note for anyone else wanting to install a HAM antenna or CB, that the roof rail is not grounded. You will need to run a ground strap to the body. I am going to post a couple of pictures later.
If you don't have a good antenna ground, you may have problems High SWR...
Wow, what a generous offer. That would be great, then I will know it is precisely the right one.
I am curious, as you cannot make it out in the picture, how is it attached to the roof rail.
I will PM you my e-mail address.
Thanks
Excellent work, and thank you for the additional info. There is a frys here in town, I will take a look. I am trying to mount a Yaesu ATAS 120A, http://www.universal-radio.com/catalog/hamhf/45470450.html
The ATAS-120, on the bottom, emulates a PL-259 ("UHF") connector, so the mount needs to...
I've got the XD9000. It seems like figuring out how you plan on mounting it, and powering it are equally important questions. In the end, the winch is a small part of it, albeit an important one.
You can consider winch trays, winch bumpers and so on. Consider ringing up Justin @ lucky8 and...
+1 on the Battery and Brake Light switch. Sounds like the problem. I do not suggest throwing just any battery in it. There should be a way to import it if needed, perhaps coordinating with the Brits over there. I would imagine they are bringing in parts by the plane load to keep their vehicles...
There are settings in the computer that you put in your tire sizes. I assume from there that the computer automatically calculates your speed from there. My speedometer is dead on.
A dealer should be able to edit these values. I used a MSV-2 to do it.
There is one in Georgetown that charged 15.00 bucks-- pm me with your e-mail address. I haven't visited all the ones I wanted to check out in Austin, but the one I did visit wanted 45.00 and their machine was broken... so I passed on them.
Nice new to you rover. You can check out texasrovers.com if you are not already a member, they have a San Antonio chapter.
Where are your pictures taken there, it looks like a cool area.
If you want any accessories, you might check out lucky8llc. You may already know them having had the...
You can pick up rebuild parts, motor, or the diff at lucky8 at decent prices. The locking diff is more expensive than the open diff. The 1600 sounds like an open diff price.
There is no mention here of telling the garage door you are adding a device. You need to push the button on the garage door unit to put it into the mode to receive a new remote device. Then follow the procedure on the Rover.. It worked for me after a few minutes on fiddling around and has held...
Nice work, look like the Traxide unit, good stuff.
On the rear sockets, I installed them in a neat little spot which is better than the recommended location.

Here is some updated information, and as a reminder there is a difference between Initial oil fill, and an oil change. I use Royal Purple, I have pasted in the Oil I use at the end of this.
Open Unit:
Castrol SAF–XO
Initial fill:
1.23 liters / 2.59 US pints

Yes, I reset the computer to match. It's been so long I couldn't tell you, originally seems like it was 18-20. Now i'm at 14-16. I also have a lot more miles on it, but generally everything is in tip top shape.
I am debating going back to a narrower tire due to the apparent adverse effect on mileage of my 285, May go to 275 and see if there is an improvement, unless I find a willing victim to swap wheels for a week to see if it makes a difference for both of us.
Is the gearshift indicator matching.
There are issues particular in rust belts with some shift fork rusting up.

Rotary Cassette -- sounds like they found something else to call the clock spring... mine is bad, cruise control not working, just hate to waste the money as it was recall fixed once but broken again.
Ordered a FOB 129.00 and got a list of places that are supposed to be able to cut it. Assuming all goes well and I can pair it to the vehicle, I'll post the details..
I don't think it's fair to compare my prices, because I did a ton of other work at the same time. The lower arms are about 225.00 each.
I also did upper arms, rear upper / lower bushes, rear wheel bearings, rebuilt dampers (fitted koni FSD) rebuilt my front diff, replaced cv joints, boots...
Well, it would be pretty dishonest to buy a warranty when something is broken.
You can get the diff motor for a reasonable price from Justin & Lucky8. He also has reman differentials, and rebuild kits. A few K would be a whole diff at LR.
There is a shop in the LA area that has rebuilt a...
