I removed the nerdy wheel rock throwers. The plastic rock protectors on my 2005 became brittle. Pretty sure I broke them in the 18" snow drifts last winter. Oh well. Car looks higher now! -

Windshield replacement
So here's my update. I got back to LR3 today to find out that the install looks great. Defrost lines and rain sensor all installed too. Not only are there no imperfections, but the glass is OEM "Pilkington" too. Overall, very satisfied with my repair. -

I'm currently out of town, so I can't check out the glass, but I'll post when I check it out for any imperfections. As far as the deductible goes, Geico is paying any amount after what the deductible won't cover. In my case, they're paying around $130. -

Well, I had a similar issue happen. I talked to locksmiths etc, all with no luck. I even asked the dealer if they could get it off. No avail. They told me they could drill it out for me, I declined obviously. So, I just drilled it out myself and it popped right off. Ridiculous. -
