    Mityvac...

Well, I'd say the time-sert is your way to go. After reading up a bit on it, looks like you will have to drill and tap the threads for the insert Not sure how this will be different in the end just simply cleaning up the threads for a "next size up" plug. Both will create shavings?

    Mityvac...

yowch. have you gotten a 2nd or 3rd opinion/confirmation for the labor involved? Abran or LR Techniker (other forum?) are fair and knowledgable about procedures

    Mityvac...

Oversize doesn't cross-thread (unless the wrong one was used) They just cut a little deeper in the existing thread Time-sert or Helicoil should work - give it a shot I know shavings aren't ideal near oil, but could you tap new threads and go up a full metric size? Absolute worst case - is a...

    LR3 from stock to Overlandish?

I would suggest getting your hands on an ozone generator. It will kill everything - and also eliminate any odor - in places you can't reach with cleaning.

    Mityvac...

Is the goal avoiding a buggered drain plug? Not being under the vehicle? Not dropping the skid plate? If you can get most oil out with a mityvac, you could just change more often so the residual mix diluted quicker. But you still have to get underneath to change the filter, so I am not sure I...

    Brand New LR3 LR4 OEM Hitch LR040248

Long story short, I searched for a long while for a used one before I gave up and bought a new one. Naturally, I immediately found a good used one. (which I then bought with hopes to re-coup most of my cost by selling the new one) So I am selling the brand new, unused, original packaging only...

LR4 Loud air release sound when air ride deflates

Maybe remove the compressor insulation and let run so you can try to pinpoint noise location? Or . . would be annoying, but may need to remove the compressor and retrace your work steps - Reopen and double check anything you touched on the rebuild - Check dryer cap and exhaust fittings and...

Has your compressor ever been opened for service and desiccant replacement? Old desiccant turns to powder and clogs things .. including the valve blocks

LR4 Loud air release sound when air ride deflates

Agreed, sounds like front block to me This block is the easiest to access I have successfully disassembled and cleaned the o-rings in mine (silicone spray) - no replacement needed (save $ try cleaning first) Holds height steady as expected Start there on yours
