    4-Wheel Alignment

I assume you are getting the alignment done somewhere besides the dealership?

Best place to buy OEM brake pads 2015 LR4 Lux

For DIY mechanics, check out FCP Euro with lifetime warranty on all parts, including brake pads & rotors. You only pay return shipping when they wear out. I'm not a fan of the PartsGeek website or search capabilities but I have bought items from them in the past, that I could not find...

Best place to buy OEM brake pads 2015 LR4 Lux

On other makes (non-LR), I've not been impressed with the pedal feel of any ceramics, and they generally compromise on braking power / fade resistance. Might not be ideal for towing or mountain use. But for city driving and keeping your wheels clean, they are GREAT. I am curious to hear what...

    Gasoline to use

This, plus eleventybillion: ^^^ And also, DO NOT buy the cheapest premium. If it isn't Top Tier rated, don't put it in the tank. Please. https://www.toptiergas.com/licensed-brands/ When someone "upgraded" the forum software recently (earlier this year, IIRC) it either added the censorship...

    Timing chain replace

Try Land Rover of Tampa for OE/Genuine parts. They sell at a discount and have free shipping. I've had good success with them. Can't help with the other questions, sorry... haven't done this job yet. Sometimes their search doesn't work and you need to use Google to search their site for a...

    Lower control arm replacements

In Mercedes applications, Meyle is a complete waste of money with the only exception being their "HD" line. The same likely applies across all marques. I greatly dislike (and distrust) companies who have "Germany" in their name or logo, i.e. "Meyle Germany". This fools people into thinking...

    Lower control arm replacements

Looks like the sway bar end links are LR part number LR014145, ~$54 MSRP each, $47 from discount dealers like LR Tampa. https://parts.landrovertampa.net/Land-Rover-Part-Number-Index-p/lr014145.htm Aftermarket Lemforder links made in Turkey are $30-$35 from FCP Euro...

    Lower control arm replacements

I've heard anecdotally the Meyle "HD" line is acceptable... but I wouldn't touch anything Meyle otherwise.

    Lower control arm replacements

I keep reading about the vendor LCA's were purchased from, but not the brand name of replacement LCA's. Looking at the Atlantic British site (link), they don't tell you the brand name they are selling, and the $140 price indicates a cheap offshore copy. Ditto for Lucky 8, where they include...

Water pump replaced, still leaking coolant

If there were forum admins present (I've never seen one here), it would REALLY be nice to have the forum settings changed to not block the word "s c r e w" and change it to asterisks as in the post above. What is this, elementary school? :motz:

    Weird battery behavior

+1 on AGM H8. EverStart has a 4-year warranty and the lowest price I'm currently aware of. Also make sure your charger, and alternator, are working properly. However some chargers may show fully charged on a defective battery. The only way to check is with a load tester.

Water pump replaced, still leaking coolant

Any chance you can buy a vacuum filler for cooling systems? Seems this is the most foolproof method to fill the LR4 system. Bleeding through the various *****/ports seems to be a RPITA. :help:

    Cloud of Smoke

The factory manual says to drain oil first, but someone else reported they replaced the pump without draining, and no oil came out... however I think they had the truck angled, i.e. front axle raised, or on ramps. I will be replacing my vacuum pump in a few months, I bought a new Pierburg and...

Air compressor temperature - what is normal?

I have not had any faults since replacing the compressor, HOWEVER... we have not driven the LR4 much at all this past year. Pre-COVID it would typically get driven for a couple hours per week. I would be surprised if a 30kmi-old compressor is failing already, however it might be worth trying...

LR4 Transmission Fluid Change: Pan Swap Option

Draining and refilling without removing the pan changes roughly 30% of the fluid, and leaves the old filter in place. You need to repeat this a few times to change most of the fluid. If you want to replace the filter, the pan has to come off, and that is when some people prefer to convert to...

LR4 5.0 Chain Guides actual problem?

Steal of a deal on an LR4 with issues

Steal of a deal on an LR4 with issues

For Genuine LR parts, have you tried buying from LR of Tampa in Florida? They offer free shipping over $99: https://parts.landrovertampa.net/Land-Rover-LR4-Right-Lower-cntrl-arm-p/lr073367-110149.html I hate PartsGeek, btw, their site is awful. I buy aftermarket from FCP Euro (lifetime...

    2015 LR4 - want a full size spare

I believe that is correct. From memory, the 2003-2005 RR wheels with different lug nuts also did not support TPMS. That may not be an issue with 2006+. I also did not want to mess with mixed lug nuts. The extra set of wheels is for dedicated snow tires (Nokian Hakkas), btw.
