    Air Suspension Performance

Your first indication that compressor isn't real should have been the price. Then when you read the description of that eBay compressor:

LR4 - Is there an equivalent in ride/driving experience?

Agreed. I love G-Wagons, but there is no comparison in ride quality. They are also a bit smaller inside than you would think. Not as much shoulder room. The one thing that the G-Wagon's driving experience beats out the LR4 on is the seating position and view. And that is certainly saying...

2013 to 2014 Face Lift Headlight Install

All correct bulbs should have the filament in the same spot, meaning that you shouldn't have to re-aim your headlights that much after replacing bulbs. You sure you installed the new bulb correctly? Also, bulbs should probably be replaced in pairs, and not one at a time.

    Overlander Question

You are literally the only person I'm aware of that had to get a new engine after buying. There are others here who did, but they knew what they were getting into when they bought. If you want anectodal stories, how about this one. My parents bought a brand new 2022 4Runner in August 2021...

    Overlander Question

Sorry, my man, but it seems like you bought a piece of **** that was misrepresented to you by the seller. My LR4 has been about as problem free as the 80 series Land Cruiser that I owned from '00 to '08. No joke.

    Spare tire fitment 265/65R18

Not for me. I use a 5 wheel rotation and haven't had a problem using my spare yet.

    2012 RMS audio system output?

I suppose it largely depends on the sensitivity levels of the speakers. Woofers are typically more sensitive than tweeters, for example. But who knows.

    2012 RMS audio system output?

More than anything, if running off the of the factory amps the impedance will be the driving factor (no pun intended). I believe the factory amps are best with around a 2 ohm load. The best results I've read about on this forum use Focal speakers. But I'd be excited to see if something else...

Heavier wheel/LT tire combo "skipping" across pavement?

I think you run higher air pressures when you're actually carrying heavy loads, but if you are like me and otherwise running essentially a stock vehicle (with maybe a hundred extra pounds of stuff), then I don't. You can always do the chalk test and see what pressure you should run by the wear...

Heavier wheel/LT tire combo "skipping" across pavement?

I run 38 psi front and 40 psi rear on my 265/65/18 e-rated tires on my Defender steelies. I think you're running too high of pressure. The sidewall on an e-rated tire is stiff enough that you don't need to run high pressures.

2016 LR4 Camera system not working at all!!

Disconnect your battery for a few minutes, and reconnect.

Coil Springs for my LR4 in the future as it ages

It's been over a year since I did mine, so I can't really remember. There are ways you can access it from the engine bay, if I recall correctly. Otherwise, it's a matter of having the correct swivel ratcheting wrench.

    casting call for LR owners

Two keys to winning: 1. Be attractive. 2. Do not be unattractive.

    HD vs non-HD package LR4

It appears you have the HD package. Consider yourself extremely fortunate. I'm guessing only around 1 in 15 LR4s have it, and a lot of people will scour the earth to find one when they are buying.

When is it time to say goodbye?

I've had "cheap" 100 series dreams for a while now and allow me to squash yours for a bit. My dad just bought one a few years ago as an extra 'fun' car--one that was supposed to be in prime condition--but the reality is that: 1. Even the newest 100-series is 16 years old at this point, and no...

When is it time to say goodbye?

Mine has been just about as reliable as the 80 series I owned for 8 years back in the 00's.

    Chip in windshield

All they do to fix a chip is put a liquid plastic resin in the chip and let it cure under suction so that when it solidifies there are no air bubbles caught in it. If your heated windshield still works now, it will continue to work after the fix.

When did your crossover go and is your climate HOT (CA, NM, AZ, TX, LA, etc) or COOL (PNW, northeast, etc)

My first one started leaking at around 60k miles. Guess I'm in a climate that's both hot and cold. 100+ in the summer, near 0 in the winter.

    Air Suspension head scratcher

They used to be reman, but they haven't been for a while. The problems people had with the remans have continued to plague their reputation, though.

    Air Suspension head scratcher

I think the consensus was that Arnott was originally using rebuilt OE struts, and those were the ones with problems. The new ones are much better. I believe Arnott uses Continental bags (at least the ones I put on my fronts do).

    Air in Brake Lines

I have no idea how the LR4's brake lines are routed. Back in the day, the front two wheels would have independent lines but the rear would share one line that ran all the way to the back axle, where it would split and run to each wheel. No idea whether the LR4 does this. Probably not. The...

Freeway Speed Vibration or Rattle on Passenger Side near Windshield

Someone probably had your exterior a-pillar trim panel off and re-used the old retainers. They should be replaced with new every time that panel comes off. https://www.roverparts.com/body-chassis/pillars-molding-finishing-trim/DHB500400/

    Dreaded rear hatch actuator issue!

Yes, it needs cutting and splicing. I'm unaware of any ability to just buy the switch from Land Rover. I only ever saw the switch and the whole loom and it was pricey.
