2005 LR3 Cooling Issues
Attached is a description of the 4.0 system - my 4.4 .pdf is not correct for some reason. Hope this helps. Also I can tell you I had the same issue and had to re-bleed the system a couple of times to keep it from overheating but eventually it stayed at normal operating temperature. -

Nice soliloquy but based on his original post I really don't think he wants or has the mechanical skill to effect all the build up you mention and again at least in Tennessee $12k plus for a Disco II is way high and having owned a RRC, Disco I, Disco II, and LR3 I stand by the LR3. -

2001 Holland & Holland Edition Range Rover
There's an old Rovers North forum on the web that shows one sold for $6500 in 2010 with 150k on the odo. I agree with everyone, the LR3 is a much improved vehicle over the DII and for that price I agree also, you can find a really nice LR3 probably even kitted out. -
ABS SENSORS, O2 SENSOR, LR OEM TAIL LIGHTS, and BRAKE SWITCH REPLACED...still have the 3 amigos
The book says that DSC light will stay on if the DSC button is turned off, that's easy to check. What does the information center message say? The little green box in the center of the instrument cluster has a message, access it by toggling through with the turn signal lever button. -
Nitto G2 265/50/20 don't fit, really??

Seafoam in crankcase and full tank?
I"ve used sea foam in my wife's honda van in the gas tank but not in the LR and not in the crank case. Remember if you dilute your oil it's not just working on sludge, it's thinning what keeps the bearings and bushings lubricated. If you try it I would only run it a short time and then drain... -

Living up to its unreliable history
I use only premium unleaded 100% gas which is 93 octane. Also my LR3 had the windshield replaced by the PO - I was trying to figure out why the heated windshield wasn't working and then realized it's not a Pilkington and evidently they went with a non heated replacement. I can't bring myself... -
Android Head unit?
I installed a Pioneer head unit with Nav and am happy with it other than the screen is hard to see since it's located where the factory radio was. I almost wish I had a second nav screen in the cubby where the factory nav is located. Maybe that's a project for this fall. -
