The interior is shorter in the back than the LR4. Not sure how much. Folding the second row does not create a fully flat surface, either. That said, if you move the front seats all the way forward and build a little platform, you can supposedly get 6' 6" of interior length. I prefer to go... -

Yeah, the Trialmaster comes with front and rear lockers. A snorkel, too. Lol. The B58 engine in this makes enough power for me. Same engine used in a lot of BMWs as well as the new Toyota Supra. I read about the engine before I took the plunge. Purportedly, it's one of the few "reliable"... -

No, not plug and play. They use a different bracket, so you'll need that. And then you'll need to reprogram with a GAP iiD tool or something similar. -

HD package retrofit
The differential gearing is a different ratio between LR3 and LR4. Even if everything works, you'll have to replace the front diff, too, then hope that doesn't make any other computer stuff go all screwy. -

The center valve block has been sold. Everything else remains. Had to get a new ball bearing to rebuild the trailer hitch receiver, but did not get time to finish that job before I had to leave town for a week. Will post pictures of that when it is done. -

Regarding the transmission kit, it's for the 6HP ZF transmission (used in the 2010 to 2013 LR4s and other Land Rovers). Not sure if it works for later transmissions. You'll have to contact Atlantic British to find out. It was this kit: https://www.roverparts.com/transmission/kits/ATFCKWFL/... -

LR4 Transmission Fluid Change: Pan Swap Option
I opened my Atlantic British rebuild kit (never used it; I've got it for sale in the sales section) and the standard gasket was ripped from the factory. That's all I needed to order the Lubelocker gasket... which I also wound up never using and is included in the sale. -

The one thing about the Land Cruiser is that I can probably just buy it, drive it for a year, then sell it for not much loss (if any at all) if I decide it's not for me. One of the local dealers I reached out to a month or two ago (and who told me they were sold out) hit me up again last week... -

Not 100% the Land Cruiser is the way I'm going. I've got a deposit on one but it has yet to arrive (will probably be here within the next week). If not a Land Cruiser, then maybe a Defender? Not sure. Right now, though, I am vehicleless. -

Loaded the LR4 on the carrier's trailer this morning. Off to New York State it goes. Bought it on January 16, 2016, and it's been a great 8.5 years since. Never let me down. Contrary to Rover folklore, this is the only time I've ever seen it on a trailer. Looking back on my post history...
