In my opinion the hp/tq comparison is a thin argument; the v8 was listed at 375hp/375tq, and the scv6 is 340hp/332/tq. Not that big of a difference on paper, but maybe it feels different in the seat. In the gap tool there is a live values section where you can select transmission temperature. When I did mine I took it for a drive around the block and still had to wait just a bit idling for it to get to temp. Weird vibration
I used the release e-brake thing in the gap once but it didn’t seem to do anything. The next time I took off the rears I just went straight removing them and didn’t have any issues. I repeated what they did on the powerfulUK video- 16FujiDisco

Mine was the e-brake for sure. First time I did brakes I didn’t do the calibration procedure, it just took some time to develop. Once I narrowed down the problem I did the proper procedure and all is good- 16FujiDisco

3.0 SCV6 P0089 code - anyone got a fault finding process to follow?
Search P0089-64 and there are several threads discussing. I believe the general consensus is in-tank fuel pump, but there is also a tsb for a software update. I get the code anytime temps are below 40 degrees, but no other time; no performance issues- 16FujiDisco
