    2015 LR4 Windshield Wipers

Last time I had them replaced, the indy shop used Valeo blades. I've been happy with them. I believe FCPEuro carries them too: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/rover-wiper-blade-valeo-lr018367

Towing - I Have Not Done My Homework...

Assuming it's hardened steel equivalent to a grade 8 bolt, and a shear strength of 60% of tensile strength (150,000 psi), that 1/2" pin could hold 17000 lbs. Even low carbon steel would give you shear strength over 7000 lbs. Vibrations won't loosen the pin, unlike bolt on solutions. I'm...

Is this a failing crossover pipe?

I would think so, unless it was poorly installed. If there's no leak from that area I wouldn't worry about it. Odd that you'd have a leak if the radiator was replaced 20k miles ago. I'd just get that fixed. If you do decide to replace the rear crossover, you might as well do everything else...

Is this a failing crossover pipe?

Water actually has a higher specific heat than coolant - the coolant makes it a worse coolant, but it won't freeze. Adding in the coolant will raise the boiling point a little, but not a ton. Preventing boiling is accomplished through pressurizing the system.

    Oil extractor

That pump can't handle gear oil, if you intend to service the transfer case and differentials. I got my mityvac second hand for less than $40, have been very happy with it so far. It is somewhat large, though.

Interesting read on Diff fill capacities.

Why in the world would engineers set the fill port higher than the fill level? Did they start out filling up to that level and then realized that they were blowing seals so reduced it?

    Amber Check Engine Light ON

I think the question was why the BG44K in the tank would be needed if using a top-tier gas?

Are they replacing the water pump, thermostat, and cross over pipes while they're doing the chains?

    Off-Road and/or Overland Terrain Conditions

You could put something like https://soilretention.com/drivable-grass/do-it-yourself/product-info/ down along where the wheels will roll. I believe Home Depot can special order that for you in full pallet quantities. Their instructions call for more prep, but I'd bet it work fine if you just...

    Lug Nuts Will Not Budge

Interesting about the Gorilla, those were my top choice, but more money. I put my caliper on the Eisen ones, and the shank is a smidge smaller diameter than OEM. Did not detect any play once installed (before torqued), so likely within manufacturing tolerances.

    Lug Nuts Will Not Budge

Based on your endorsement, I went with the same. Happy so far.

    Lug Nuts Will Not Budge

I got some one-piece after market lug nuts to replace what I consider is a poor design in the OEM ones. The price point is way too high for what you get. The last thing I want if I have a flat is to not be able to get my socket over the nut because the decorative cover is damaged. In my...

What jack do you recommend to store in your trunk?

lift rods don't affect maximum droop, the shocks do when they're fully extended, so unless you install a SYA kit the factory jack should reach fine. Some people use a small bottle jack, there's a dimple in the lower control arms that you can use to lift just one wheel.

    Lug Nuts Will Not Budge

I pulled my lower back trying to loosen overly tight lug nuts on my LR4. Sucked.

Current Brake Pad and Rotor Recommendations?

Keep an eye on the fluid level in the master cylinder reservoir as you retract the pistons, in case it had been changed/topped up at some point in the past. You don't want it to overflow, the fluid will eat paint. Do you have a copy of the workshop manual to use as reference? Are you doing...

    5.0 supercharged into an LR4?

I don't know that it's that the ECU doesn't care when you drop an LS into a disco 2, but more that the system wasn't nearly as advanced/complicated. There are many more sensors now, and more ECUs talking to one another over proprietary networks, expecting just the right message protocol.

Limp mode and found two weird connections that are not connected to anything

If you intend on keeping the LR4, an IID Tool may be a good investment. Lucky8 carries them, reach out and see what kind of deal they can give you.

Tried to get my suspension fixed

I'm about to do my 5th alignment this year, so having a place that will just sort it would be nice. First shop did a bad job - steering wheel was crooked. I took it back, and they gave it back to me even worse, claimed that the next step was to move the steering wheel on the column. Nope...

Tried to get my suspension fixed

Do you tell them to keep it running while they align it, or is putting it in tight tolerance mode before they drive it onto the rack good enough?

Tried to get my suspension fixed

FCPEuro will sell OEM stuff, not sure if they have the OEM LCAs. They warranty them for life though, so if you like the plush ride of the stock bushings, it'll effectively cost you shipping and an alignment to swap them every 50k miles.

    Removing rear seats?

Note that the luggage cover thing (leaning against your tailgate in your 2nd picture) clips into the gap behind the 2nd row. There are two little black plastic studs that stick out on either side, that clip into slots on the back of the luggage cover. That way it's not sliding around. Pretty...

    2011 LR4 gearbox/transmission

Mine doesn't start in second unless I put it in snow/gravel mode, and then it does start in 2nd. I was offroading once and hadn't put it in 4lo, and had to go up a bit of a steep bank to get around a downed tree - it wouldn't go up due to being in 2nd, the torque converter was just letting...
