I have HIDs in the low beams and CVs in the high beams and fogs. Very happy with this setup. 10000k is too purple and wouldnt match the OEM look. Also you loose a lot of useable light when you go that high with the color temperature. I recommend 5 or 6000k for the low beams unless you want... -

the halogens are 55W in the LR4. The OEM HIDs are 35W. If you get 55W HIDs it would be too bright but if that's what you want then go for it. You may be stopped by police depending on where you live. You need the H11 kit for the low beams. H7 is for high beams. I do not recommend HID kit... -

I finally got it
I feel the best range for the LR4 is between 45 and 70 mph. I've taken it to 90 and it felt very stable. Last night we had major t storms here in MA. There was local flooding my neighbor who was in the car with me commented on how stable the LR4 felt in water puddles few inches deep going... -

Hi ycharlie, you have the vision assist package with the surround cameras? I thought that comes with Adaptive HID headlights? so why did you have to instal the aftermarket HIDs? -

Hi Count, The 6000k has a bluish tint to it, but the light is mostly white. You can go with 5000k and get a slightly whiter light. With 4500k you'll start getting some yellow. 3500 is yellow as is used for fog lights mostly. I believe ycharlie is running 3500 k in his fogs and 6000k in his... -

I have not seen any flickering, but as will all HIDs, it takes a couple of seconds for the Xenon gas to heat up once ignited to achieve full brightness. Not more that 2 to 3 seconds. I have noticed that in my Lexus with OEM HIDs also. -

David, You must be kidding!!! CA is the capital of mods and HIDs. Every single place that sells these kits is on the west coast, namely CA. DDM tuning is based in CA. As you said, younare putting in a kit that is 35W which is what the OEM is and the projectors are the same. I wouldn't... -

why did you have to replace your windsheid? and doesn't your insurance company pay for it. I had numerous windsheilds replaced over the years and the insurance company covered every single one. I live in new englang and get cracks in the windsheild and pitting from the sand in the winter... -

Key fob to adjust height?
I read an LR3 thread that stated you can program the key to adjust the vehicle height. Is this possible in the LR4? Has anyone heard of this? The thread did not mention how. -

The kit comes with a seal already attached to the wires. All you need to do is drill a hole the size of a nickel, large enough for the plugs to pass through, and the seal they provided fits perfectly and snugly. Use a large drill bit and enlage the hole by going sideways in a circular motion...
