    Skid Plate-Slider question . . .

Only price. They are VERY proud of their products.

    Skid Plate-Slider question . . .

Let's hope they are reasonable with their pricing. So far, OE has not impressed me. Call me a cheap bastard. But, if the pricing is too high, I will be looking abroad to find parts. I just contacted a group in New Zealand about a rear bumper spare carrier. To save a buck or two, I don't...

Custom rear spare/jerry can carrier concept

I have. And yep...no more dealers in the US (as far as I know.) They also need to move the tire a little more towards the center as it covers the right tailight.

When will it be ready? I am ready to purchase now.

Custom rear spare/jerry can carrier concept

I just went out in the garage and took a more detailed look at the bumper steel. Based upon what is there, I am thinking that having the mounting plate (that holds the shaft) welded to the bumper will likely be best. I am anticipating the weight on the arm to be fairly significant. More to come.

Custom rear spare/jerry can carrier concept

The shaft would need to have the support of the steel inner bumper. You would need to drill the plastic fascia and then weld to the inner steel. I suppose, it could potentially simply bolt to it, but since I have to drill through the out plastic, I figured why bother. I have toyed with...

Custom rear spare/jerry can carrier concept

Hey all... As promised, here is the concept of the rear spare carrier that I am working on. I am looking to have mount to the existing rear bumper steel with some welded reinforcements. So far, I am liking the concept and believe it will work well. I am always welcome some input from others...

    Let the modding begin.

I am with ya on that. When I bought the ARB sliders for my old FJ, no problem. These are another story. On another note, I am looking into a custom spare/Jerry Can swing arm that will fit to a stock rear bumper. I have a really good custom fab guy that helped me with my racer. I am...

6 way to 8 way seat conversion SE V6

Solution - pull the 6 way seat out and purchase/install an 8 way one. Done. Modifying one is completely pointless, IMO. Why reinvent the wheel. GO find a smashed up LR3 with intact front 8 way seats and put them in your truck. Just my .02.

    Let the modding begin.

Not to worry my friend. These are on their way. Looking for a good price on the Mantec front plate. Also thinking RS sliders. But...the prices for sliders on this rig are absurd. :stupid:

Sounds rather gay. Modding please. Besides, the steering was a PITA at first.

    Let the modding begin.

Yep...the mods begin. Modestly, but still fun. Upon buying the truck, I noticed that the PO did not clean the steering wheel very much...or ever from the looks. for only being two years old, the wheel was sticky with oils and the leather was effected pretty deeply. I tried to deep clean the...

    LR3 Accessories - Favorite vendors?

I am going to start with these guys. The prices here in the states are absolutely absurd. Christ some of the parts for my Porsche were cheaper than for this Rover. And that's saying A LOT.

    Advice on reasonably priced parts

Until the parts vendors come back to reality, these guys will get my business.

    Skid Plate-Slider question . . .

I have to say, I am absolutely stunned at the prices for sliders on this rig. My FJ Cruiser's ARB sliders cost me half as much as anything I have seen for the LR3. Granted, each truck is in a different price bracket...still. Talk about highway robbery. I know a fabricator that helped me...

    Advice on reasonably priced parts

WOW - just took a look at their site. Their prices are crazy low in comparison to the states. The driving lamp kit is almost $200 less. Damn.

    Skid Plate-Slider question . . .

Rasta may be available through Lucky8 parts. They are in the process of revamping their product line. Check with them. As for Off Roving, the RS Sliders are the only choice, IMO. Bigs

    LR3 Accessories - Favorite vendors?

Hey All... I come from the world of Porsche. I have built my own track cars and maintained my toys throughout the years. I am a big fan of finding really good deals. Who is your favorite vendor? Who has the best pricing on various OE and aftermarket parts? A few of my old Porsche...

Nathan - Tell me about those light brackets on the front of your LR3. I do not want the A-frame, but prefer this direction. Also - where did you place the switch? Bigs

Their website seems to be down and some of the vendors are out of stock of their products. Does anybody have any info on them? Bigs

OE rear locker: Why can't you add it?

Fair enough. Based on the terrain in the area I am, I doubt a rear locker will add that much more than what I presently have or need for that matter. I really like my rig. Being the same proportions as Nathan (6'7" and 260#), I really like the available room inside. Can't wait to take the...
