Hi all,
Not sure if the LR4 has hit the streets yet, BUT, would it be possible to simply exchange the rear lights on my future truck with the newer lenses? How much dinero are we talking about?
Apologies ladies and gents, but the search function did not help, the word is too short  Would anyone one what is the best source for a comprehensive list of TSBs for the LR3?
Thanks.
Once I buy the truck in a few days, barring any unforeseen events, I will take it to a metal fabricator so that we can design some sliders and protection for the underside. The prices you guys are mentioning are scary! Has anyone here considered going with that option?
Will check on ebay then, I am almost pretty sure they were plastic for some rrason or another, loks quite austere inside. Wasnot going to fork double what I am paying for this LR3 for a nicer dashboard though!
My bad, must be my off day, thanks. Do all the LR3s receive the reflash or does the dealer wait until something goes wrong and is reported by the owner?
Do tell, I thought they are one of the premium aftermarket batteries. GIven that the vehicle will be used off road, it makes sense to install a gel battery like the Optima.
I am very hopeful that I will. I have been running Toyota 4x4s for the last ten years or so, this will hopefully be evn better when I take it off road :) Thanks.
I have no doubt that they are. The car I am buying was a 2008 modwl that was originally purchased in late 2007, it could be that closer inspection will reveal that they are indeed Piano Black, my first impression though was that they are plastic.
Nwoods, that is one MASSIVE spare you have back there. Is the air suspension able to handle the abuse? Does it self adjust to maintain the same ride height (self-leveling)? Not sure what spare I have under there, I will wait until the car is in the garage to check.
What are the exhaust shields? Are they for rocks? Are they an accessory? Why would anyone run without the spare tire? Do you have an alternative as in Slime, Tire Plugs or other tools? Thanks.
How many members have installed Optima batteries? Will they mess up the "delicate" Land Rover electrics. . . . just asking being new here and all :albertein
Thanks for the tip, that will be my nuber one project when I receive the car. FIngers crossed that it will be little things like that and not main components. My concerns, Engine, Tranny, Electrics, and Air Compressor for the Air Suspension!
The car I am buying (2008 V8 HSE) came with an all black plastic dash and surrounds, I believe that the 2009 came with wooden inserts on the sides of the central stack as well as the driver and passenger AC vents. Can these be bought from aftermarket suppliers or are they genuine LR products...
Oh yeah they creak :) Does any one here have the instructions on how to disassemble them handles? I have never heard of Silicone Powder, is this a new product? I know of silicone grease, but I would not want to use that inside the car if I can help it.
I am probably dreaming, but does a place exist in the US where the cost of parts is reasonable? especially for non rush orders and cosmetic parts?
Thanks.
So, did anybody find a solution to the problem? I am putting down $38 large on an HSE in a few days and this struck me as ridiculous in such an "upscale" vehicle. I believe I am going to have a lot of fun in this truck but I do not want it to start on a bad note
