    Preemptive 80K mile service...

Glad to see this thread. I am at ~ 80k miles (2012) and want to get ahead of things. She has been incredibly solid to date and a real pleasure to drive. It's the kind of vehicle that I am happy to invest in for another 80k miles... So far I see: - Change fluid in transfer case - Change fluid...

5.0 Injector Lifespan? Worth replacing during Timing Chain job?

Great thread. Thanks for all of the useful information. I have a 2012 with about 80k miles on it and it has been rattling since about 50k but never to the point that I thought to have it fixed - sound is pretty similar to the video posted earlier. The LR4 has been a 'rock' and I hope to get...

    Android integrated with factory screen

I seriously 'tip my hat' to those of you who have taken this project on and installed the system. I so want an upgrade like this, but am still amazed and frustrated that the best option is a real stretch to install and get to working smoothly without bugs. It's 2017, right? Shouldn't there be a...

    Android integrated with factory screen

The return policy is pretty expensive on these units, so you'd want to make sure it is going to work. Will be good to see further reviews.

Who has slept in their LR3?

Why not the best of both? I use an air mattress in the back (LR4) and attach a Napier Backroadz tent off the rear hatch/tailgate. If it's just me, that tent space makes for a great sitting and gear storage room and if I'm with others, well, it sleeps 3/4 comfortably in the tent while I'm in the...

    2011 - 2017 LR4 - My Experiences

2012 LR4 with 65k miles. Lots of towing, though primarily motorcycles so nothing too heavy. Nothing significant has needed to go into it beyond normal maintenance (fluids, pads...). The LR4 has been great, by far, one of the best vehicles I have ever owned. This is about the mileage that I start...

    Running boards / side steps

The Romik's definately don't look like they will hold up to much off road. For me there is a little utility as a "step-up", but really I just prefer the look of the LR4 with nerf bars. Roof rack next!

    Running boards / side steps

Yes, front and rear. The instructions are pretty basic but you'll finally figure it out. Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk

    Running boards / side steps

I installed mine by myself in about an hour. If you have the rear air suspension option you have to work around the lines when you install the support brackets. At first, I thought the Romik's would not work with the rear air, but really, there wasn't a lot to it. Really happy with the...

Johnson Rods Full Time on LR4?

NAS: is that lift rod kit as good as it looks? Sounds like a good solution and easy to adjust...?

    Running boards / side steps

I am waiting on a pair of the Romik nerf bars (black) for my 2012 LR4. I prefer the look of the bars to the steps but I do agree that either make the LR4 look better. Not sure how soon I will be leaning them up against any rocks  but they'll look nice. Curious on the fit after what I...

Kuat NV Bike Rack (hitch mount) on LR4

I've had my much heavier Ducati 1198 on the back of the LR4 in a carrier like that - did fine though I have now gone to a three rail trailer for convenience. I just bought a two-bike bicycle hitch-mounted carrier off of eBay for about $80 and it works quite well...

    Side awning mounting question

I'd like to make use of a side awning on my LR4 and am starting from a stock configuration (no roof rails). Can an awning be used with just the roof rails or do I need to add cross bars and/or a basket rack? I am looking for the minimum set-up that will still support an awning.

    Another hitch thread

I don't know what is "wimpy" about the AB hitch. It is very solid, mounted in about 10 minutes. It works fine with my motorcycle carries and I tow a heavier (400 lbs) sport bike. For $300 less you do lose the convenience of the snap-in/snap-out OEM model but not much else.
