Did Bob say anything about existing contracts with Zeigler? I would imagine they remain in force until the contract terms complete. -

Did you try Zeigler Ford? They're a 3rd party insurer - that's what the extended warranty plans are - and I think they market them separately from Ford itself. -

WAH WAH under power
I've had both front and rear diff's replaced - both while under the factory warranty. I heard "wah wah" but I felt a different vibration and that came with a different sound. Follow Houm's advice. But if the tire's are wearing abnormally that definitely indicates something there - wheel... -

So far so good on the Nokian's. Granted, most of my driving since I got them has been on pavement and a bit of sandy beach roads. Almost no snow since I got them. Figures! But they stick well on the roads. -

Extended Warranty ?
I've recouped somewhere between 50-75% of the purchase price of my extended warranty and still have many miles to go before it runs out. It was worth the price for peace of mind and repair price protection. But it's up to you and what you can do on your own - your surrounding resources. -

So far the Nokian's are great but then haven't had any weather to try them out in. I can definitely feel a big improved difference between the Nokian's and the Pirelli's. So much better. The Pirelli's always felt a bit soft and squishy. I prefer more truck-type tires as I run on my 1996... -

If you have the OE cross bars (not sure if your expedition rack sets on top of them or has it's own integral cross bars) Thule will definitely fit. I spoke to them about 3 weeks ago now specifically on that topic. I have the OE cross bars and Thule makes equipment to match with OE equipment... -

Ash Tray
I'm in something of the same boat. We were cleaning out the LR3 and somehow the ash tray got pulled all the way out. It looks like there's a spring that is preventing the tray from being put all the way back in. I think it's the same spring that pulls it back in when the tray is properly... -

I have the short factory rails on my LR3 and am debating about whether or not to buy a set of Thule crossbars or a used set of OEM LR3 crossbars. One of my questions is if Thule or other accessories with attach onto the OEM LR3 crossbars or not. I'm thinking ahead to future ski carriers, canoe... -

OK, got a battery from Sears but the Sears rep said that I might need to have the dealer reset the computer in my LR3, something to do with a synched internal clock that counts down to when the battery would need to be replaced by. Check out the Extended Warranty section on this site. I went with the Ford PremiumCare ESP once my Factory Warranty expired. I've had great success using. Just got the LR3 back on Monday from the dealership where I got about $3k of work done, covered by the warranty. Bushings were included... -

Just a thought but the last time I had that light come on I asked my dealership mechanic about it. That light can be triggered by the gas cap too. So, if you filled up recently and the cap didn't get set back on there right, or had an air bubble or something that could be triggering the... -

Am I equipped for a heated windshield?
The windshield itself has the wiring in it. If you look at the right angle you can see very faint lines or a matrix across the windshield. That's your heating element connected into the power supply. As RoverGuy7 noted, you should have a button that is similar to but different from the rear... -
