Anyone know what height a jack needs to go to to get the wheels off the ground on the LR3? Will 18" be enough or do I need 21"? Also, would 3 ton be enough or is 4 ton recommended?- djkronik57

Engine Vibration at 1100rpm
Not sure if this is normal or not, but I noticed that right at 1100rpm in my 08 HSE V8, there is a distinct vibration from the engine. It does this in Park, Neutral, and Drive. Roof cross bar suggestions
Looking to add the cross bars to my new to me LR3 to put a kayak on. Are the eBay OEM style bars OK quality-wise or should I just shell out the extra for OEM? Any suggestions or other options welcome.- djkronik57

Faint metal scraping
So the verdict from an independent mechanic was that the noise was the brake pads rubbing on the rusty rotor. I suppose this makes sense, as the pads were replaced recently and are plenty thick, but the rotors were not and still have a bit of a rusty lip on the edge. Faint metal scraping
I thought it might be the pads as well, but they were replaced (front and rear) recently and have plenty of life on them. I'll double check the brakes just to be safe. Oddly enough, two other LR3's that I test drove had this same exact noise, so I figured it might be normal?- djkronik57
