    I think if people are running 265/65R18's at standard height, I shouldn't have too much of a problem running 275/65R18's with Johnson Rods. Plus, the JR website has tons of photos of people running 275/65R18's (on LR3s), particularly the Goodyear MT/R's.

    According to the Johnson Rods site, 275/65R18's will work. I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on 275/65R18 Mud Terrains soon....

    I have a set of 5 (but would consider selling just 4) BF Goodrich All Terrain TA KO tires, size 265/65R18 with plenty of tread left... probably about 75-80%. Ideally looking to trade for mud terrain tires in size 275/65R18, but will sell these for the right price. Make me an offer.

    How do you use your LR4? (Aside from commuting)

    One of the beauties of the LR4 is it truly does it all. Mine is a daily driver, trail rig, beach-mobile, etc. You could find it on a muddy trail one day and in the valet of a nice restaurant the next. You won't have any issues using it the way you're planning on using it.

    It's just a testament to how well the LR traction control system works. Lots of technology for sure, but once you get one out in the woods, you'll definitely be impressed. PS tell your wife she is clever, but no ramp was used here!

    Haha thanks! Yes I actually drove up onto it (I do it all time), not a camera trick. Height of the post is exactly what it looks like, maybe a foot and a half or so. There are so many posts in that area, some barely clear the front bumper in off road height, others I will turn the wheel slightly...
