    "Cameras Unavailable" when it rains?

Me Too. Cameras Unavailable Please Consult Your Dealer No LR Dealers in VT. I'm on my own. Anyone else with this issue, past of present, any troubleshooting/repair/replacement tips greatly appreciated. This is my first non-maintence related issue I've had with the car. I'm approaching 70k...

LR4 Transmission oil change... mixed feelings.

Yes .... One of the nice things about VT living .... Many things cost a lot less than they do in the NY and DC area.

LR4 Transmission oil change... mixed feelings.

I'm at 68,000 miles and for preventive maintenance purchased the differential/transmission fluid kit from AB for $170. An independent shop up here in VT charged me 1 hour labor ($60) for the job. For $100 he also sprayed an undercoating to protect from all the salt they used up here to keep the...

Relocating to Stowe, Vermont. Service options ...

Land Rover doesn't have a dealership in VT, the closest one to Stowe is in NH about 200 miles away. I'm planing to keep my 13 LR4 until the day where maintenance becomes an issue. I'm at 57K miles now and besides a new battery and set of brakes/rotors, its needed nothing but oil changes, which I...

Looking at the LR4 for a family hauler

Funny ... I did the same opposite direction. Found the exact 13 Lux I wanted from a Mercedes dealer in DC. Had been traded in and wasn't even on the lot yet. They wouldn't take a credit card but said they'd hold it one day. Drove to JFK, certified check in hand (no time to arrange financing)...

My LR4 next to a new Discovery...

Yesterday, as I drove slowly by the local Land Rover dealer here in Southampton, NY and saw the latest offerings, most on artfully created rock piles, I only felt sadness as I know this 2013 LR4 will be my last Land Rover. As the line becomes more and more "aerodynamic" (why??) the traditional...

    Windshield

Update: Well, my windshield got dinged yet again and needed to be replaced. This time I asked my insurance company to have Safelite use an OEM replacement and I can report that the rain sensor issues I posted about have now been fixed. I'm not sure why the rain sensor would not work properly...

    Windshield

I can also add that from my experience go with the OEM windshield if $$ are not an issue -- I didn't realize that Safelite will not use OEM unless requested and I've found with their windshield the rain sensor is not accurate, which is an annoyance when you've come to rely on it.

    Nokian WRG2(3) Tread life

I know that getting information about tire selection and performance is sought after on this forum so I thought I'd post about my experience with the WRG2. Yesterday, after 35 months and 33K miles, I replaced the WRG2 with the newer WRG3. For those unfamiliar, Nokian has a DSI (Driving Safety...

Running Winter/Snow tires in relatively warmer temperature areas

I put the Nokian WRG2 on my 2013 after I slid down a low grade wet hill a few weeks after owning the car. Its actually how I found this forum. I couldn't understand how the OEM tires could be so bad and began researching. These tires are excellent on slick roads which to me is as important as...

    Second Row Sun-shade.

I recently had the panoramic roof replaced (by Safelite) and now the 3rd row sun shade won't stay closed. I tinkered with it but no luck. The plastic clasp looks cheap so I'm guessing their "professional" installation causes it to become slightly misaligned.

    Ratchet tie down for roof

I tired. They do fit and slide inside the roof rack rails but can't be secured. I searched for an after market tie down that would be compatible but haven't found one. Land Rover is smart like that ...

    Ratchet tie down for roof

Land Rover has an accessory called "Tie Downs." They come as a set of 6 and slot onto the cross bars. Not cheap but work perfectly, especially when using rope that fits through the round hole. Land Rover Rocklin has them in stock.

    Thoughts on new forum layout?

I don't think the page views is an accurate representation of what's being read. For example, right now there are 185 on the forum of which only 11 are signed in. My own style has been to only ever sign in when I post a thread or reply. Being able to click that link made it very easy to pop on...

    Thoughts on new forum layout?

So now to read the last post on a thread we have to sign in. What's next a monthly fee? Maybe I'm getting old but the old layout seemed fine by me.

    2013 LR4 Brakes $1400???

Land Rover Rocklin charged me $360 + $48 shipping (CA to NY) for OEM real pads, rotors and a sensor. My local shop charged me $200 for the installation. My 2013 had 35K miles when the brake light went on. Haven't had to change the fronts.

    19" Tires ONLY - Recommendations

The first week I had my preowned MY13 with the stock Contis I hydroplaned down a mild slope and I knew I was replacing the tires. That's how I found this forum. I replaced the Contis with the Nokian WRG2 all weather tire (since replaced by the G3) and was blown away by the improved traction...

am i the only poster seeing the links for LR for sale on my post?

I attached a picture of what this page looks like on my laptop using Firefox with AdBlocker Plus. (Sorry if its upside down). If I look at the same page with Chrome, there are pictures of cars running along the bottom and banner ads at the top.

am i the only poster seeing the links for LR for sale on my post?

I have never seen an ad here or most anywhere for that matter and I only ever log in to post. The reason is I use Firefox with the add-on ABP (AdBlocker Plus). I swear by it. Besides blocking all pop-ups, I can watch shows like 60 minutes online without having to sit through the commercials...

Micro-Start XP-10 jump starter - Tested, it works great

Thanks very much for the review. I just bought it on Amazon. A great (compact) addition for my emergency bag and will replace the traditional jumper cables that have been around for about 100 years.

Anyone have 3 car seats in 2nd row?

Brings back memories of our circa 70's family trip from Long Island to Indiana. Dad and mom in the front, grandparents in the second row and my brother and I in the back of the wagon playing amongst the luggage. If there even were seat belts back there, we certainly weren't wearing them. In...
