    18" Wheels w/o modifications

TuffAnt has all the specs on the website. Go in to the actual product and it's there . Full disclosure, I'm a co-founder of TuffAnt, so I'm pretty across this topic. We started the business as we were tired of poor rubber options on the stock 19" rims and also wanted affordable 18" rim option...

Black Friday rim discounts/info! Did some research today...

No need for spacers or mods to fit the TuffAnt Alloys or Steelies with the LR4. The steelie is heavier, as to be expected, coming in at 18kg (around 40lbs), the Alloy is a much lighter version being only 13.7kg (around 30lbs).

    18" Wheels w/o modifications

Compomotive load rating is 980kg (2160lbs) per rim, TuffAnt Alloys is 1050kg (2315lbs) per rim... from that, TuffAnt has a higher load rating than compos.

    18" Wheels w/o modifications

Can absolutely have the ET27 offset TuffAnts on the LR4 :) My profile pic shows that set up with 265/65 tyres (Hercules Terra Trac II). This tyre/wheel combo gave minor rubbing at full lock in reverse when the tyre was new, but now no rubbing whatsoever.

    LR3 tires and wheels

I've run both the TuffAnt Steelies and the TuffAnt Alloys on my D4 (pics below). Both with All Terrain tyres 265/65 (Hercules Terra Trac II, LT rated), minor rubbing when new at full lock in reverse, and needed to drop the spare wheel air pressure to get it to fit the spare wheel well. Now...

    18” rims

TuffAnt has 18" Steelies and will soon have 18" Alloys in the US. Both fit without any spacers or mods image credit for steelies: Burcham Car Sourcing. Image of alloys is my car :)

    18’ Tuff ant wheels

Sometimes fitters don't do up the nuts when checking the fitment, and because the TuffAnts are a close clearance design, the nuts need to be done up so that it clears for a full rotation. Good news you got it all sorted!

18’ wheel suggestions for my black 2010 LR4

Hey, I've been running TuffAnt 18" steel wheels for almost 2 years now (see profile pic). There's been zero negative impact on performance, in fact with better rubber I would argue there is greater performance, however there is an impact on fuel economy of around 10%. My pictured tire is the...

    Stock wheels are not steel?

Hey, yes the stock wheels for LR4 are alloy 19". Nice looking rims but challenging to get decent rubber if you are going to go off-road. There is a much wider tire selection available in 18". There are definite benefits and considerations with both steel and alloy. Steel is heavier, but when...
