Rack and pinion part LR080151 replaced. Just got truck back Tuesday. No noise. Apparantly this part is no longer made....seems like a remanufactured part from England LR was used. Steering is tight.....it is strange to be able to drive without hearing that noise. 3rd party warranty paid $2300...
Update....after LR replaced clockspring noise still happening, albeit maybe a little quieter than before....but still very annoying. LR now seeking to replace rack and pinion under warranty.
Mine is in the shop for this right now getting a new Clock Spring put in. I purchased mine used about a year ago w 53k miles on it....it had the sound when I purchased it. I immediately took it to LR and had power steering flushed, along w 55k maintenance....the previous owned had it routinely...
....this problem seems like a design flaw. I think it will take unhooking and peeling off some of the leather on the seatback and snooping around, but im afraid that will ultimately destroy the seat.
Mine does the same thing. Folding and dropping the seat down to the lowest position stops it. I leave it here for several days and then put the seat back in the upright position. The noise stays gone for a couple weeks then starts again. It sounds like it is coming from inside the seat. Two...
Please let me k ow if the interior is ivory. I would love to replace my passenger middle row seat....terrible rattle in it. Not under it, but inside it...drives me crazy.
