2002 Land Rover Discovery Series II SE Diesel Swap?

Hi all,

I am about to aquire a 2002 Land Rover Discovery Series II SE v8

Is there anything i should check for and be aware of?

First Rover cant wait!

Also please advise if there is a possibility of swaping the big v8 for a more fuel efficient diesel motor over her in the US? That is my biggest concern would love a diesel rover in the US. Any tips or advice greatly apreciated .

I know guys that have spent $12k for a Diesel Conversion. It would probably take at least a good 100k miles before you started seeing a payback. They're very cool, especially how Rovers tend to sound like Diesels anyway!
