I'm having a problem with the right front caliper that when I take the front tire off and rotate
the spindal it will turn a couple of times and then sticks. The pads look good and no grooves
in rotors. Does anyone have an idea, I've got to do this myself and am having problems.
Any help would be very appreciated.

Sounds like a warped rotor

90 rover issue

A friend told me that the reason the rotor will turn and then stop has to do with the all wheel drive one tire is turning and the others are not. When I turn this rotor I do hear noise from the front diff, could this be a bearing or something in the gear?

The all wheel drive will prevent it from spinning freely yes... I thought you meant you felt it dragging at the brake.

you will hear the gears moving as well as the joints if they are all not well lubed. even then you may hear some noise.
