Greetings all, first and foremost I have to say that, so far, I have been a very proud owner of my Land Rover. I purchased the truck on May 8th of this year with 41K miles from CarMax. Everything went fine, even brought her to the dealership regarding a minor issue with the driver's seatbelt and an exhaust leak which they took care off, free of charge, since the vehicle was still under warranty.
Now that I just reached 53,425 miles (of course right when the warranty expires), I am having a couple of issues:
1) The TC, Brake and Hill Descent Light came on all at the same time. It appears to be intermittent, sometimes, they come on right after the truck is started and sometimes after a few miles of driving.
2) The 2nd issue seems to be a major one, this morning when I opened the door to the garage, I noticed a strong smell of gas. After further examination and doing the "sniff" test, my nose lead me to the rear-passenger side of the vehicle, where the gas tank is located. To my surprise, I found that the rubber hose that connects from the actual gas tank to the hole where the gas nozzle goes into, was severed and it seems that the vapors are escaping from the gas tank. It would be impossible for me to gas up due to the severed hose. Fortunately, the tank is half full which will get me to the dealer in the afternoon tomorrow.
What are the chances of the dealer fixing the problems under warranty since it's only 3425 miles over the factory warranty?
I also purchased the extended warranty from CarMax but it does outline that "Hoses" are not covered.
Any input is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
