Hi there,

I am currently in the market for a second car to function as my daily driver. at first I was considering sedan's and then stumbled upon the Land Rover Discovery and it has grown on me. I am currently considering a specific vehicle and have a couple of questions.

1) 2004 HSE with heated seats ,14k miles for $26k. What do you think of the price?

2) What is the depreciation like if for some reason I sell it in 6mths or a yr, what type of hit can I expect

3)Was the ACE standard on the HSE models?

4) Is there anything else I should be looking for before I buy?

thank you in advance!

That's a really good price for a 2004 with only 14,000 miles. I really like the look of the 2004's. I think Land Rovers in general keep their value pretty well. There are lots of people out there who like them.

1 . Good price ... what's the balance of the factory warranty? Here its a full 4 years and covers almost all items. If you want to sell down the road ... factory warranty is a good selling point.

3. I believe so ... I have a 03' SE-7

4. Get a PPI from a garage that is familiar with LR's.

HTH ....

That doesnt seem bad on paper...it should be a decent truck, but ya, try to get someone who knows about Land Rovers to give it a good once over...invest in a Car-fax report, and try to get serveice records from the owner...have fun!

Carfax is worthless, I bought a "clean" car that I have recently learned was a flood victim. Find a good mechanic and use his or her advise not carfax.

Just try to get service records and give it a test drive and make sure everything is in good shape.
