Where exactly is it leaking from, the pinion seal the cover plate or from a wheel bearing?
How mechanical are you?

How long have you had it and when was the last time you had a major service done on it?

it now has 250,000 miles i bought it with 75,000 miles.
i replaced the whole rear axle with a used one , probably 8 years ago.

i have the differential service at jiffy lube several times but not the last 3 yrs.

so no major service on differential.

i am on a silly mission to get some leaks fixed.

recent diagnosis;

Front engine crankshaft seal, engine oil pan gasket, front differential, rear differential and transfer case are all leaking

parts ordered:

to fix cranshaft seal

done:

oil pan gasket replaced

Replace rear differential upper control arm and ball joint assembly with
good used parts.

thanks!

If the oil pan hasn't ever been removed, it almost never leaks. It's the last item of business because any other sneaky oil leak can look like an oil pan gasket to a careless eye. Just food for thought.
