I could go both ways really. I think the white lettering looks sharp.

Maybe I'll surprise you guys and join your club!!! Are there any membership dues?

Everyone is down on the white lettering... on fuji it really looks great IMO...

Guess not everyone can look as awesome as Fin and I.
Hahahaha! :)

I typically would put the white lettering inside, but it does look great on the Fuji White.

Is direct from compo for ordering the way to go?

...I think that is the only way.

Barry Dixon - [email protected]

FYI - I had a hard time wiring money to them, they gave me the wrong bank account number and my money was floating in cyber space for about 3 weeks. Barry was in communication with me everyday, seems like everyone on this board had a positive experience with Compomotive. Myself included if you don't count that money issue.

Do yourself a favor, pay the service fee and use PayPal. It was a breeze.

Mine left Great Britain yesterday and they are already in Louisville KY today.

Due to arrive tomorrow.

I completely agree. Use PayPal - it's safest.

I've decided on a set of 275/65R18 MT's... Will be ordering them within the next 2 weeks. Guess I'll be the guinea pig ;)

If anyone is interested in my 265/65R18 BFG All-Terrain TA KO's, PM me. Probably 75-80% tread left. Located in Tampa FL.

Are you going with the Toyo? Interested to see what you think with that size, it is the same as the set I have on 20's. They rub at full lock on the front frame arms in the wheel well, not terribly and will probably go away as the tire wears. Definitely requires lift and you'll be hosed if the suspension bails on you. Great looking size though. Compliments the truck. Interested to see what you think of the gearing/power as well. They are a very heavy tire.

Over the weekend I installed the long awaited Compomotives PD 1881(Part number change do to aging molds and slight changes for newer model clearances). I went with the BFG 265 65 18 T/A KO.

Pictures

Tires feel great underneath the vehicle, slight amount of side to side action, but nothing out of the ordinary for a taller tire. I have not taken them off highway yet, looking to do that in the coming weeks.

In normal height mode, there was a small amount of rubbing under full lock left going in reverse on the left front side. No suspension compression. I believe this was talked about already somewhere on here, but I thought it was under full compression. I will try to clarify once I can get some more time with the vehicle. I'm not too worried about it. I haven't done any testing in access mode.

1.detailed tire info including PSI ( Purchased from Discount Tire at $248 each, and had them mount / balance. My brother and I installed on vehicle. Originally, these tires were supposed to be "weekend only" set ups, however, my wife thinks they look great so I'm hoping they stay on permanently. That being said I didn't install sensors, wish I would have. I'm sure I'll be finding myself ordering them in the not so distant future. As for air, I left the tire shop with 45 all the way around. Once installed, I lowered the front down a few pounds, 42 Front, 45 Rear. This will be adjusted as necessary
2. any suspension mods to accommodate new tires Y/N None
3. Any mods ( not suspension related) in order to accommodate a new tire size None
4. Spare tire fitment Haven't tried, yet. Still waiting for final okay from wife,, looking good so far. Most likely will rotate in the 5th wheel after a bit of tire wear, this should give proper clearance without struggling.
5. Performance of the tire in different environment
A. off road Unknown
- gravel, sand, heavy rocks, lose rocks, etc.
- dry vs. wet terrain
- problems with the tire on trails
B. highway performance
- dry vs. wet traction ( breaking, hydroplaning ???) Unknown
- noise Noise will no doubt increase over life of tire, for now I can barely hear them.
- durability, Unknown

Center caps have been ordered, thanks Finlayforprez for the link.

I'll update once these things get dirty. Thanks to all who keep these threads current. There's so much good information on this site, its unbelievably helpful.

Looking good Waterndirt! Good luck with # 4 (spare tire fitment), and I also think that you should deflate your running tires a bit more - stick to or near the recommended 36F, 42R. Especially with stiffer compounds such as the BFGs, you should get a slightly more comfortable and compliant ride IMHO.
