Thanks guys. Umber, you are 265 as well? the 275 is tantalizing, just for the option of another mud terrain. :stupid: I think I have a tire fetish.

I think Umber has 265 but a 60 sidewall.....

Actually they are 275/60s (31" dia), obviously no issues with rubbing or fitting the spare fully inflated - although I did remove the heat shield between spare and exhaust for a bit of extra breathing room when winching the spare up.

Has anyone modified the rear A/C lines in the passenger side rear wheel well?

Any reason you didn't go larger? You clearly use it for what it was intended for.

I have to strike a balance between commuting + work vehicle, family hauler, sometimes delivery truck and, maybe once or twice a month, weekend toy. 31" is big enough, and although they may not look like much those Yokos are wonderfully quiet on the road, they handle great on wet and dry pavement and hold their own off road on any surface but mud and snow - not exactly common around here in the southwest. They are a good compromise for my needs, realistically of the 37K miles I have put on the car so far, I figured 95% at least have been on tarmac...

They just cleaned my wheels/tires yesterday when they steam/power washed my undercarriage, so I thought I would post a couple pictures of my wheel/tire combination when you can actually see them clean.

Very nice David... I found some mud to play in last night, so my wheels will be getting a quick bath this afternoon.

I agree completely and still have the compro's sitting in the garage. I still haven't ordered the tires because I'm really afraid of the 275/65/18 rubbing. Everyday I change my mind on whether to go 265 or 275. I need to pull the trigger and would love of you to jump in first :)

I've pulled trigger and Compos are in the air from GB as I type.

I'm going with the 265 BFG's. I'll post pics asap. They'll look just like Finlayforprez's set up less the white lettering.
