All four of ours are really noisy. Sometimes my knee rests against one and the creaking starts. Luckily they only make noise when touched, so maybe it's just something we have to live with. Usually this type of noise is caused by two materials rubbing (such as a sunroof gasket) and you can lube it or add felt but I can't even find the cause.

I think the clips holding the grab handle cover (if there is such a thing on the LR3... On my RRS there is and it is held in place over the grab handle by 3 plastic clips) have "relaxed" over time and cause friction between the handle and the cover when you press against it with your knee, with related creaking noise. I bet replacing the clips (or the handle cover, as the clips may be built into the cover) with new ones would fix the noise. It's starting to happen on my RRS as well, but only on the driver's door handle. The passengers' is still quiet when pressed.

Mine also does this. I feel like I'm exiting a Kia.

I may be wrong, but I didn't think this was an issue with something getting worn out (or "relaxing" over time). I remember watching a review of a brand new LR3 HSE on YouTube, and the creaky door handles were the only bad thing he had to car about the vehicle. It was one of the first things I checked when I was purchasing my own (used 2006 SE), which also creaks. I'll see if I can find that video... I just remember him saying that he would find it infuriating even on the most entry level Ford Focus (or something to that effect). I'll see if I can find the video...

So, did anybody find a solution to the problem? I am putting down $38 large on an HSE in a few days and this struck me as ridiculous in such an "upscale" vehicle. I believe I am going to have a lot of fun in this truck but I do not want it to start on a bad note

I think they all do this. I can't tell if the handle is a two-piece design and they are rubbing together, or if it's a mounting issue. I'd like to take a closer look.

I did this and it helped. Just pull it off and put some silicone on it and it will stop. Mine has been quite for a few months.
