FIXED. it was the transmission fluid. i was about a quart short since i didn't have the right procedure. thank you all. happy july 4th. -

tnx, joey. however, how would i know if the u-joint is in good shape or not? i did turn the drive shafts a bit while it was on the jacks, didn't feel anything was loose. visually, there's no cracks and such.... in addition, it only happens from 2nd to 3rd upshifting. slowing down was fine. -

2004 DISCO HSE7 60K changed the tranny fluid with "Castro DEX/MERC DOMESTIC MULTI-VEHICLE" ATF. when accelerate from complete stop. the whole rig shakes at about 25 - 30 miles (about 2nd - 3rd gear?) then its all smooth again. any clues? :confused: -

2004 DISCO HSE7 60K had all the fluid changed except t-case. do i must remove the cross member in order to get to the 1/2" drain plug? anywhere i can get a 1/2" stock and use my wrench to open that drain plug? as for the filler plug, it's also half hidden and pls recommend what tool i need... -

mike asked a great question. answer that question first. the big difference between the 03 & 04 ? 04 models has the locking diff. !!! 04 roof bars are thicker. :-) -
