Hope you fixed the damn thing, if not ask your friend to drive it into the river, I'm about ready to with mine. Nearest dealership/cert mechanic is 325 miles away around here also
***, it appears I did, reading too many ******** threads...I replied to another post and was going to add what I have done, the damn fault keeps coming back. Also, I have tested the alternator and appears that it is putting out proper voltage. It is the damn wiring. after all the items I...
I have a new battery, new brake sensor, going through wires and connections, but has not fully cleared, the fault goes away and comes back unexpectedly. I have not yet solved the problem, I have cleaned the gear shift wire connection under the center console 3x, found a corroded pin on the...
I had the same bizarre silent radio issue, which occurred a few times...pulled the head unit fuse, let it sit and it magically came back to life. Has not occurred for a few years. 2006 LR3 (owned 14 years). The water ingress issues should have been a recall, massive issues with water damaging...
2006 LR3, any of you had the Transmission Fault "Limited Gears Available" engine light on (F), stuck in park. (I got it out of park hitting the release on the shifter assembly) Swapped out the brake switch for new, It has to be a connection problem since it went away for a couple days and...
Get an 07 or better, fixed the undersized breaks and rotors, I think they still have the bushing issue, so if you have those replaced ALWAYS go with the upgraded POLY BUSHING! Lasts waaaay longer. Expect bushing failure and 40-50k.
My only contribution is... stop buying new batteries, they are usually good if you trickle charge back to life if the thing sits for a long time. Next, install a battery disconnect switch if you don't drive it much, easy to install and saves your battery. Make certain you crimp the connections...
Couple days ago after starting up, major transmission fault "F" indicated on gear indicator LCD, locked in park, could not budge the shift handle, completely disabled the truck. Disconnected the battery for a couple minutes and apparently cleared the damn thing, so far all good for now = 2006...

What a huge design mistake. The Toyota TRD Pro principle is to design for the 10% ******** enthusiast. This translates into a long lasting following. Land Rover has now destroyed that with this soccer mom vehicle line up...Boo Land Rover. Thy now have a little soccer mom explorer clone and a...
Got it all done, cleaned it 2x, looked just like your posted pic, same corrosion (attached pic). Put it all back together and unfortunately....nothing still will not recognize command shift.
Join the club, there should be a full recall for this since it cause all sorts of bad **** to happen. Its a friken joke that a vehicle like this would leak as it does.
