I don't care how sensitive your ass may be, without the warning light, you are not going to know if there is a slow leak.

I did have a slow leak that TPMS alerted me to and which led to new tires. Like you I am also on board with this technology. But I was surprised by how expensive these things are. I would probably think twice if I ever had to replace them...but would probably replace them.

I don't need TPMS but it's nice to have. So far it has come on only once - to tell me the spare was low. Must have been pretty low from the factory. I just don't know that I will want to spend hundreds for new sensors for the winter wheels that are on 3 months and less than 2k miles per year. Oh yeah, and you have to add the expense and hassle of having the tires dismounted/mounted.

Definitely onboard with them. I do not get the big issue with them (other than expense). I have been on slushy/icy roads where you cannot feel the pressure in the seat. TPMS alerted me to a leak with aenough time to get somewhere (unstranded) before it went flat.

It's odd to me that so many of you think they are outrageously priced. $89 seemed pretty reasonable and to be honest, pretty minor in the grand scheme. I mean it's a $70,000 SUV, not a RAV4.

Similar technology in other vehicles is dirt cheap, so it is the upcharge that I was commenting on. Nothing that I get worked up over as a 2-time Land Rover owner, just an observation. "Expensive" is a relative term, as you correctly pointed out.

Just ordered 5 for 51 a piece from tire rack.
Going on compos and KO2s. Here's hoping they work. They are 433mhz for my MY15.
I'll post here either way.

Let me know how they work, I'm in need of one for my full size spare, didn't know tire rack carried them. Thanks for the heads up
