    New Problems

I think I have bigger problems now than O2 sensors. I was accelerating down the highway when it shuddered a little bit, in fact my first thought was I had a tire going flat. I took my foot off the accelerator while I ruled that out. When I pressed on the pedal again, there was no response, no...

    Another O2 sensor question

Has anyone heard the terms upstream or downstream along with oxygen sensors? My codes indicate Downstream sensors. My somewhat logical brain is wondering if I only need to replace the rear sensors. But I have no idea if my Disco is logical as well. I don't have maintenance records, so I...

    O2 Sensors

I've already checked previous posts for info on replacing O2 sensors, but thought I'd ask anyway: Any suggestions for sources to purchase O2 sensors? Any suggestions or hints for installing them? (I think they are somewhere on the exhaust system) Thanks

More brake questions - O ring size

Does anyone know the dimensions, or size of the O-ring that fits on the master cylinder, and seals up against the vacuum servo unit? Some of the research online indicates that I might be able to get an aftermarket replacement at Napa. I don't trust the one that I got in the plumbing section...

    Brake troubleshooting

Hi, everyone, long time, no post.....been working on other things. Having a brake problem, I'd appreciate experienced opinions. Not long after I bought my Disco '96 occasionally I'd press the brakes, the first time after starting the car, they would shudder, make kind of a grinding noise...

    Another stupid lug nut question

I should have asked this before. The reason I thought the caps / covers were removeable is because they are loose. They slightly pivot over the lug nut underneath. All of them. Are they supposed to be like that, or did some stupid "lug nut" at a tire shop ruin my nuts? :argh:

    Lug nut covers

This is embarrassing....How does one remove lug nut covers? or do they come off???? I started to do a brake job on my Discovery (not my first brake job, but first on this car), and can't get the !@#$%%^^* lug nuts off. I've tried prying with a screwdriver, pulling with pliers and visegrips...
