Hello all,

'02 Freelander with 87,000 mi.

Just took it in to get the blower motor and heater core replaced.

I got it back and now the remote controls on my steering wheel for audio & cruise will not work and the SRS light is continually on.

The mechanic swears he didn't mess anything up.

I checked for a fuse or a simple fix but haven't had any luck.

Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!

My guess is he was in the dash, and possible unplugged some wires. Is your mechanic a Rover Mechanic or just an everyday mechanic, yes there is a difference.

Yeah he was a regular mechanic, closest dealership is about 3 hours away so I went with this guy.

Anyway, I figured it was a wire too so I took it back into this guy.
Turns out my clock spring in my steering wheel's bad. Most car's it's about 150 to replace, Rover wants 450. Love my car but hate repairs.
Atlantic British and they're callin me back tomorrow.

Just wanted to give ya an update.

Also try giving Rovers North a call 802-879-0032 just ordered parts from them for the first time, saved almost $100 over Atlantic British with free shipping if you order off there web site.

Very impressed.
