The water pump seems to be working fine, but I definitely have a leak from the vent on the coolant overflow. The cap doesn't seat right (seems like stripped threads) and it's leaking a small amount of coolant constantly. You can smell it when the car is running.

Did you bleed the truck properly? Getting no heat is a telltale sign that there is air somewhere.

Agreed. I just went through this exact scenario with our 08. Replaced the overflow "T" connector ($11 at LR dealership) properly bled the air out and voila!
