Hi,

I drive a defender 110, Td4, 1989.
I get some trouble the last few days in a altitude of about 4000m (Bolivia). After a few km drive, our Landy becams air in the disel system. Mostly it's happens when we drive uphill. In the city where we stop and go we don't have problem. Our solution to drive was to pump out the air manualy from the system.
Our injectors have about 55'000 km. Any ideas ?

you have a bad seal somewhere...most likel the injector seals...but there is noy way to know for sure which one/ones it is without physically inspecting it....

Cool air has greater density than hot air, after market intakes improve combustion of fuel by capturing cooler air from outside the engine compartment. In addition, an aftermarket air intake system increases the diameter of the intake as compared to the original equipment, increasing air flow into the engine and making more oxygen available during the combustion process. That's why you have to clean that air from engine.
