Hello again,
You`re probably sick & tired of 'newbies' asking questions about alternative fuels, but here`s my tuppenneth`s worth:-

I`ve recently bought 'The Beast'...a 1996 Defender 90, 2.5tdi 300 (that`s alot of numbers!) & i`ve been told that i can 'add' certain products (cooking oil, Kerosene etc...) to my diesel, to make it cheaper to run.
Seeing as Diesel is between 97p & 99p per litre where i live, i`m definately interested in cost saving....So here are my questions...

1...What 'alternatives/additions' can i use?

2...What is the ideal mixture (i.e 50/50 mix? 60/40? etc...)

3...Does it do any long term harm to the engine?

4...does it affect 'performance' of vehicle??

5...How much do these 'alternatives' cost in comparisson to diesel?

6...Are there any other 'hints or tips' anybody can throw my way?

I`d greatly appreciate any help on this subject!

thanks all.

Do a google search on the topic... but basically depending on how cold it gets, you can run 100% of used (filtered) cooking oil and it will run just fine....
