Automatic battery protection?

Don't our cars have control over lights left on so to turn them off before the battery drains? All my recent Audis have this basic feature, even lesser cars. Wife's car had a little "issue" today.

No....I spoke with LR of UK two years ago and complained of the issue. Don't leave you kids in the car with a video player without the engine running for more than 30 min. or you will need a jump.

It is one of the interesting quirks on the car - similar to the fact that the seat doesn't move with the key off (they eventually fixed that in 07 I believe).

I think it shows where their attention was at - they weren't sweating the details, but nailing the key things that differentiate a LR from the rest. I almost always curse the key thing when getting in the car after my wife, but I quickly forget about it
