Battery Light Flashing on Dash

I just purchased a pre-owned LR3 (so far, so good). I took my vehicle to our local Land Rover Dealership and they replaced the battery for free as it was still under the manufacturer's warranty, but, I noticed the other day when I took out the weekend toy that the battery light indicator was flashing from time to time (on & off). I stopped to get gas, but, afterwards... I no longer saw the battery light indicator! Was this a fluke or is it possible that I may have gotten a faulty new battery at the dealership? I appreciate any feedback.
