When I use my Verizon E815 cell phone with my LR3’s blue tooth, I get background static on the right vehicle speakers. The system works but the static can be heard by both the vehicle occupants and by the person on the other phone. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have the same phone and I think that the sound quality (over the LR3 bluetooth) in general is terrible. I suspect that the quality would be better if I used the integrated phone cradle, but they don't make one for the E815. In fact, I can't find a cradle for ANY Verizon phone!

Phone in the cradle sounds much better. Plus you can navigate phone book and
use voice activation to place calls.

You can use voice to place calls with PTI over Bluetooth, too. Anyway, it all depends on the phone... Bluetooth sounds fine on all the Motorolas I've used. It's the same speaker and microphone, no matter if it's Bluetooth or hardwired.
