EBC yellow went to nothing in 12k miles on my '11 LR4. And ate the rotors.

Take the advice of the other posters, do EBC greens.
Yellow are softer and don't have metal like greens do which is why green have brake squeel. Yellow should cause rotors to last longer then green IMO but either pad you use I typically put in new rotors every 2nds brake change. EBC customer support is amazing and over the years of contacting them I have had no issues, they are quick to send replacements free of charge. Make sure your rotors are not cheap from local auto store but made using American steel which lasts longer and will not warp, both EBC and Land Rover use American steel. As for frozen rotors I have used in the past, they resist warping mainly buy life is not too much longer, the price is higher now, almost double then it was in 2002 when I had them on my Tundra but necessary when you have undersized rotors and towing a lot.
