Have a '96 D1.

Have compression and spark (sprayed starter fluid into the intake manifold and it fired up for a half second) but no fuel at rail, so started working backwards and finally got to the pump.

After ultimately deciding I had good power to the pump with no action, I pulled the pump assembly out. Put 12 volts directly to the pump and absolutely nothing happened. I was expecting it to pump out the gas that was still in the bowl it was sitting in.

Looking at replacing the pump with an Airtex E3270 and reusing the assembly, but before I spend money on parts (close to dead broke) wanted your opinion.

AirTex has been proven to be a pretty good choice.
