Greetings to all in the wide world of Land Rover.
I am a Pom living in Pretoria and am currently building a road going special using a Disco 1 3.9 auto as a mechanical donor and a Peter Phillpotts (Off Road Design, UK) body. For the fuel injection and ignition I am using the Disco ECU and engine harness, but need to mate the under bonnet fuse box, and the two block connectors that come from the ECU harness under the dash, where necessary, to the ECU and / or its harness or required connections. As there have been conversions done fitting injected V8's into Defenders the same harness issues would have come up. Another problem will be mating the electronic Defender speedo with the trigger on the Disco auto transmission.
I will appreciate inputs and solutions from all the technical guys out there.
Thanks and best regards,
Rob.
