I picked up the BFG TKO2s 275/65/18 and super happy. Added the Johnson Rods and have been riding smooth since July. Super happy I went this direction.

Here is a pick with the tires at all three ride heighths.

I really want to go to K02 also, but these damn goodyear wranglers are still not even down to 50% tread and I have like 40k on them. 275/65/18 is an interesting size. I would think you would rub the frame horns even more than 265/65R18 (which I have, and work ok, but do rub slightly).

When I get my K02, I am going with 265/60R18. That extra half inch will let me fully inflate the spare, easily mount it, give me more room by the frame horns (want the option to use Z-chains for snow/ice).

I just mounted 265/65/18 KO2s (on LR3 OEM18" wheels) on my LR4 with 1.25" spacers.

I still had to shave the calipers about 1-2mm using a metal file. (See arrows on photo) Its the 4 fins on the back of the calipers that touch ...just.

The spare just went in but only fully deflated.

The TPMS from the old 19" wheels transferred fine to the new 18" wheels.

Here are the photos:

Just ordered a set of Compomotives and 265/65/18 BFG K02. Can't wait for them to come in. I thought I read that the center caps from the factory wheels will clip into the Compomotives, is this right? I have a set of 20" Black Pack wheels.

You will lose your OEM center caps on the Compos (don't ask me how I know). You can find some online (eBay) that work well with the Compos.

There are quite a few Center caps on eBay right now, do you know which ones work with Compomotives? TIA!

How do you determine if you need spacers? Going from 255/55/19 (53 off set I believe) to 275/55/20 (48)

I found this calculator and it provided a visual and the following detail:

"Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 14.1mm closer to the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 24.1mm more than before"

Thanks in advance for input.
