Flasher/idicator problem

Hi everyone

I have just recently restored a series 3 lightweight back to her former glory. I seem to have a problem that has got me scratching my head.

The rear offside flasher is not working correctly let me explain.

When flasher selected very dim glow/flash on the offside flasher and the offside brake light and the dash panel light flasher works. When main lights selected just get flashing on the brake light and no flashing on the dash light. All other flashers are fine and correct.

Now I think it may be an earthing issue anyone have any ideas, or solutions.

Well it was an earth problem. I removed the old reflectors and could not fully undo the securing screws. When I got the panel open discovered that the screw was also securing the rear brake and indicator lights. A quick tightening and hey presto working!!

Now just to remedy a dim headlamp and off to for the MOT test and the beast is back on the road.
