The gear selector gaiter on my 2005 Freelander TD4 Automatic has deteriorated badly and I have been trying to obtain a replacement. I originally purchased just the leather gaiter, on E-Bay but my mechanic in Spain was unable to fit it and said I needed the plastic collar as well. I ordered the complete item, gaiter and collar, but I have now been informed that Landrover have declared the item obsolete and are no longer making it. Can anyone suggest where I might be able to obtain one in the UK, or has anyone had experience of fitting just the leather gaiter, using the original collar.
