Fuel Mileage Survey: Discovery

Hey guys, im conducting a scientific experiment for a major project on how many miles does a person get on 87 octane/ 89/ 91/93/94. On a full gas tank from Full to Reserve light, how many miles do you get on what type of fuel.

I have never seen the low fuel light.... not good on the fuel filter....

LoL, Disco I see you run two forums too. Like I posted on the other forums, I forgot to add that I want to keep it strictly to the 3.9L/ 4.0L engine, since they are basically the same..

Oh and to add..

My results were: 216miles on 87. 226 on 89, and 231 on 91. I had the air conditioner off, and I tried to keep to same driving conditions, Also tried not to lead foot it....

I get about 260 miles per tank on average. I only use 92+ (D2)

We get about 310 miles on a tank (low fuel light still not on at that point), D1 with Manual trans, usually 93 octane, sometimes 91 - never under that though. Typically 16.5-17.3 mpg. highest was 18.2 and lowest was 14.4, of course those were extreme situations, highest was almost 100% highway miles and lowest was in the winter and warming up alot.

300 miles with stock 99 D2 (4.0L) using 93 octane.

330miles b4 light comes on, using 92octane or 90 octane,
99 disco II stock

mostly highway driving

13-14 mpg on 93 octane local driving in 3rd gear. 12 mpg in Drive.
15 -16 mpg on highway.

97 Disco. 4.0 L engine.
