This has happened to me before but I cant remember what I did to correct.

Sometimes there is no electricity going to anything in the vehicle. No Dome light, no anything. BUT, when I turn the headlights on and off everything comes back to like and the vehicle starts right up but the clock and radio code need to be reset.

I disconnected the battery and cleaned the alternator connections and this seemed to resolve the problem for a short time. But I seem to recall something with the spider box that may get corroded.

This is merely an annoyance right now but I dont doubt that ignoring it could lead to something worse. Good thing is that the wife and my teenage son dont want anything to do with my tempermental baby and refuse to drive it without me in the vehicle.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Check for corrosion in the fuse box under the hood... Normal issue, disconnect the battery and start taking it apart and clean.
