Looking at a 99 4.4 HSE

Thanks for the admission! Im interested in a 1999 4.4 HSE for a reasonable price. The CARFAX looks great, lots of service work, one owner. 101,000 miles.
Are there any huge drawbacks to an older RR?

Biggest issues with the 99MY that I recall are the airbags and related equipment. Make sure there are not electrical issues, so basically everything that should work does. If the sun roof was ever left open in the rain you will have weird issues.

When I stated airbags, I meant to say suspension airbags, not safety airbags... sorry if that came across wrong.

I did not know that about RRs. It sounds expensive to fix!!

If you buy factory parts they are very expensive (aftermarket parts are much cheaper) if I recall correctly I replaced all 4 airbags for the cost of one factory one. several years ago, and they came with a lifetime warranty.
